In a post for the online journal Parabasis, comics aficionado Ben Owen expresses his appreciation for the Brooklyn comics zine Smoke Signal. In addition to the man-on-ALF action of Johnny Ryan’s cover, the newsprint anthology contains, as Ben reports, a “shocking amount of very good stuff … with a bent towards the eye-popping and the experimental.”
